CULTURE PRODUCER
One of the largest cell culture producers was having an intermittent quality issue with glass vials used to grow and distribute cell cultures. The vials caused several cultures to grow inconsistently, resulting in cell death. After a careful analysis, the customer found that this was the result of a flattening at the bottom radius of the culture vial.
The cell culture producer approached All-Pak to develop a custom solution which would solve their quality issue. All-Pak worked with this customer to identify acceptable tolerances within the bottom radius to ensure that the “roundness” of the vial would promote consistent cell growth. All-Pak then worked to ensure that the vial’s bottom radius would be consistent during large production runs.
After qualifying the vials with three different production lots, our customer reported that their custom solution by All-Pak not only decreased the total number of culture deaths, but enhanced overall cell growth within their products.
